Athletic therapy is a profession where therapists treat variety of musculoskeletal related
injuries/conditions. They have a background working with all kinds of population
whether it be the general population, industrial workers, amateur or professional
athletes. Everyone that sees an Athletic Therapist gets an individualized treatment
tailored to the person. Athletic therapists use their experience in covering sporting
events and knowledge of all sports to best adapt treatment and exercises to the
demands needed to perform. People who are active and looking to improve their
performance can rely on Athletic Therapists to train their strength and conditioning
through individualized programs for any kind of level of activity whether it be just
working out or a professional athlete training in their respective sport. Athletic
Therapists build programs, so the athlete is at peak performance during their
competition cycle and provide maintenance to stay in the best shape. Anyone active will
expect to see increase in strength, power, agility, endurance and performance when
they train with or see an Athletic Therapist.
